This external deck can hold 4 heavy escort ships up to 130t mass and 2 mini escorts (like Adder) to defend your ship. If your ship is smaller than an Anaconda then get lower limits in proportional with the mass. Carriers can hold 2 big traders and 7 escorts (3 heavy, 2 small and 2 mini ships) in this default configuration of the deck.
